Challenger Mobile has launched its new Hosted Mobile VoIP service. The turnkey offering allows all types of service providers, wireless carriers, and new industry entrants to create and deploy their own branded mVoIP service within four weeks.

Subscribers can use challenger’s white label Mobile VoIP platform to place calls from their mobile phones over the Internet, using a WiFi (News - Alert), GPRS, or 3G connection. Infonetics Research says that last year, dual mode (WiFi/cellular) VoIP phones showed phenomenal growth, which it expects will continue through 2010, with a compound annual growth rate just under 200 percent.

According to Challenger Mobile, service providers looking for the quickest path to capitalizing on the rapidly emerging mVoIP market can pick their hosted service offering and deploy a complete turnkey Mobile VoIP service in four weeks or less.

Challenger Mobile CEO Christina Sundman points out that the Mobile VoIP phenomenon is growing at an amazing rate, and virtually every carrier and service provider out there is evaluating options for entering this market quickly with a branded service. She noted that the fastest path to market in any sector is to partner with a proven, turnkey solution provider.

“Given the explosive growth in the Mobile VoIP market place, their new white label hosted mVoIP offering will certainly open some doors for the forward thinking players in the telecom industry,” said Sundman in a statement.

Challenger Mobile further explains that licensing the company’s hosted offering gives service providers access to carrier-grade triple redundancy on Internet access facilities,
redundant call termination, 24x7 network monitoring, 99.99% uptime, global call termination at competitive rates, automatic provisioning of mobile handsets upon customer sign-up, and the choice of pre-paid or contract services.
