VoIP Provider VoicePulse Helps Tennessee Business Save $40,000

VoicePulse (News - Alert) has helped Tres Ransom, the IT director at Hail & Cotton (a tobacco distribution company in Springfield, Tennessee) make the switch to VoIP.

 
Ransom was assigned the job when his company's phone system needed an overhaul and he had to choose between simply upgrading the current system and installing one himself using VoIP. He was initially concerned and was not sure if this would work. He was also worried about the amount of time and money it would take.
 
VoicePulse not only enabled Ransom to do the job himself but also saved his company more than $40,000.
 
According to Ransom, he could not have come up with a successful solution to the outrageous costs the company was contemplating without VoicePulse’s service. In a letter to VoicePulse, Ransom describes the Hail & Cotton's move to a VoIP-based system from its old Centrex-based one and the impact it had.
 
The IT director’s estimated costs of simply upgrading and licensing were as much as $64,000. He then researched and experimented with Asterisk (News - Alert) (free PBX software) and Trixbox (Asterisk with an easy-to-use web interface). Ransom finally decided to deploy Trixbox 2.4 CE and using VoicePulse’s Connect for Asterisk service for incoming and outgoing calls. He was glad to see that the estimated cost of this solution was $25,000. Besides being impressed with the savings it offered, Ransom appreciated the customer support and quality of service he experienced during his free trial from VoicePulse.
 
VoicePulse’s CEO Ravi Sakaria said in a statement that they have grown from a small operation to over 10,000 SMB customers in the last five years while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
 
He pointed out that although VoIP has been around long enough that businesses are aware of its low cost, they have yet to make the jump. Businesses have learned that Internet-based services need to be reliable and if problems arise, they need to be able to get in touch with someone knowledgeable.
 
Ransom has been so impressed with a Trixbox PBX (News - Alert) using VoicePulse service at work that he is now rewiring his home and converting his home phone setup to use the test system he has been experimenting with at the office.
 
“I will continue to be a personal client also,” he added.
 
VoicePulse is a New Jersey based communications company that uses its VoIP network to deliver advanced features and high-quality phone service to residential and small-business consumers.
