Intelliden Teams with Atos Origin to Provide Network Management Solutions
By Patrick Barnard, Group Managing Editor, TMCnet
In an effort to provide even better network management solutions for service providers rolling out bundled packages, Intelliden Inc. has teamed up with Atos Origin, an international IT services company.
By combining Intelliden’s network automation software and Atos Origin’s systems integration service capabilities, the two companies will help service providers to better manage their increasingly complex networks, while at the same time accelerating the time-to-market of new services.
According to a press release, the two companies are currently working on a number of projects in Europe, where service providers are rapidly rolling out triple and quadruple play services. These bundled services result in increased network complexity, and thus pose challenges to operators seeking to better manage network traffic and automate service ordering and billing.
“Communications service providers in particular are looking for more intelligent ways to manage the complexity of their mission critical networks,” said Mark Becker, managing director, telecoms sector at Atos Origin, in the press release. “By utilizing the embedded intelligence of the Intelliden software, they can enhance productivity, improve compliance and security, automate network configurations and reduce costs. We see tremendous potential from the global service provider market and have already started projects with major European operators. This alliance compliments our other successful OSS network support alliances with European vendors.”
Intelliden made news in August when it announced an alliance with OPNET Technologies that aims to deliver enhanced solutions to service providers for network optimization. By combining their solutions, the two companies will enable their customers to achieve greater operational efficiency, network availability and cost savings.
