Ringplus Launches Free Phone Service for Beta Testing

Texas-based telecommunications company Ringplus, has announced the launch of a free phone service for Beta testing available to registered users.
 
Ringplus.net, the company’s Web site, offers calling card services along with social networking/telecommunications features to its customers. With the beta testing, the service offers free long distance phone calls within the United States from Longview Texas 903, California 310 to Hawaii 808, for those member who have registered with the company’s Web site.

 
The beta testing service integrates the traditional telephone calling card model with Internet services to allow registered members to enjoy the a telephone calling card with unparalleled integrated services. The service also provides voicemail, an Internet telephone book and a social network.
 
Registered users can also create Photo Albums and share photos with family and friends and encourages users to promote their business with its features.
 
In order to carry out this beta test and create the Web site, Ringplus provided its patented ringback signal replacement and Pagefish provided the social network capability.  
 
According recent news, the company is suing AT&T (News - Alert) for infringement of its patented ringback tone system. 
 
The beta test was launched after a week when the federal court heard a motion to disqualify the law firm of Baker Botts from representing Cingular (News - Alert) Wireless against Ring Plus.
