TalkSwitch Brings Hybrid VoIP Solutions to Small BusinessesTalkSwitch, which develops phone systems for small and multi-location businesses, has announced the release of TalkSwitch (News - Alert) configuration software version 4.0. With its latest freely downloadable release, existing TalkSwitch customers will experience greater functionality and flexibility in their phone systems in as little as the time it takes to download and install the software.
Most importantly, with this release, TalkSwitch phone systems can now enable local extensions as either analog or IP
“This release is a major milestone for our company and our customers,” said Jan Scheeren, President and CEO, TalkSwitch. “TalkSwitch is the only company on the market to give its small business customers complete freedom to set its mix of analog and IP local extensions, and its mix of PSTN
In addition to enabling IP extensions, release 4.0 also includes the following added features, all designed to add personalization and increase productivity for each customer:
While existing users can freely download the software upgrade, new systems — including the company’s brand new 280VS and 284VS IP PBXs — are being shipped with software version 4.0 preinstalled.
Both the 280VS and the 284VS systems provide for two incoming telephone lines and as many as eight user-configurable local extensions, which, with the new software, can be defined as either analog or IP. Both systems can also support up to ten remote extensions, and the 284VS also includes support for four VoIP
With these latest systems, TalkSwitch offers its customers five different systems with a varied options for incoming lines and local and remote extensions — all designed with the small business user in mind, but equally appropriate for today’s smart homes and franchise operations. Indeed, TalkSwitch, with its solutions, makes a business-class solution available to a market that has largely been ignored by manufacturers and resellers thus far. In fact, small businesses are looking to cut costs and benefit from the latest technological enhancements as enterprises, which is what TalkSwitch offers in a cost-effective, easy to deploy package. Importantly, the systems are network-ready, which means the system is able to scale with today’s growing businesses.
“These new systems nicely augment the existing family of TalkSwitch telephone systems,” said Jan Scheeren, President and CEO, TalkSwitch. “And we’ve made them available at a price that is unprecedented for a fully hybrid IP PBX
The 280VS is priced at $1095 and the 284VS is available for $1395.
