Tango Networks (News - Alert) integrates mobile phones into the corporate enterprise. The integration enables mobile phone to turn into an extension on the enterprise unified communications or PBX (News - Alert) network.
Tango Networks also announced that its Abrazo, version 3.3, has “successfully” completed interoperability testing with Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager, version 5.1.
The Abrazo offering is a unified communications (UC) solution for both enterprises and carriers and combines mobile phones with enterprise’s public branch exchange (PBX), UC solution or Centrex network.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager is a software-based call-processing system that monitors active voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) network components. These include phones, gateways, conference bridges, transcoding resources, and voicemail boxes and more.
The successful completion of interoperability testing of Tango Networks' Abrazo, 3.3, allows customers to deploy a broad range of Cisco compatible business applications that can “enhance” the management of their Cisco network.
In August, the company announced completion of interoperability testing with BroadSoft BroadWorks. The completion of interoperability testing enabled BroadSoft’s (News - Alert) service provider customer base to offer a fixed-mobile convergence solution for enterprises that extends the BroadWorks suite of services to any mobile device.
