NetIQ and Telindus Partner to Deliver Managed IP Telephony Services
By Shamila Janakiraman, TMCnet Contributor
NetIQ Corporation, an Attachmate business specializing in systems and security management, is partnering with Telindus to develop and ensure delivery of Telindus Managed IP Telephony Services. The services are aimed at supporting 100,000 phones and Telindus is expected to launch a large VoIP deployment in EMEA.
Telindus required an enterprise-grade, scalable solution which can maintain consistent performance, availability and quality of service (QoS) across IP telephony environments. It also wanted a solution which can extend support for additional managed unified communications services like telepresence.
“Like all MSPs, we support critical communications across large, demanding organizations that seek to reduce expenses, improve employee productivity and QoS, and streamline business processes. To that end, ensuring that we consistently deliver managed services and perform as promised is a must for our success,” said Yves Vlamijnck, solution manager, Telindus.
“We partnered with NetIQ (News - Alert), as no other competitive solution could help us plan and test for a successful VoIP roll-out, manage the complete service and proactively improve quality of experience. Moreover, NetIQ can fully support our future plans to a holistic unified communications strategy,” added Vlamijnck.
NetIQ IP telephony management solutions can manage the entire VoIP lifecycle like network assessment, pre-deployment, end-to-end monitoring, reporting and capacity planning. It can also proactively detect quality of service, reduce call degradation and also ensure consistent and optimum end-user experience.
Telindus will benefit from NetIQ’s network diagnostics, VoIP monitoring, network monitoring for day-to-day operations and management of professional services.
It will use NetIQ VoIP technology for proactively monitoring and managing service levels on its IP telephony service infrastructure.
NetIQ helps troubleshoot critical issues faced by customers working with Avaya (News - Alert), Cisco and Microsoft environments. It helps collect capacity planning data which will help determine optimal network traffic patterns and usage. NetIQ AppManager can monitor and manage several additional network devices and legacy systems.
Erin Anderson, product marketing manager at NetIQ explained that for any MSP, reducing the cost of IT operations while maintaining the performance of business-critical applications is required for running a successful organization. Although converged communications technologies are needed in today’s distributed organizations, companies deploy VoIP without fully understanding the impact of converging voice and data traffic on a shared network. This leads to many dissatisfied users and system downtime.
Telindus offers convergence products including voice, data and video, secure network applications and telepresence and telemonitoring solutions.
