Sejin Electron Selects Trinity Convergence Software Solution for Enterprise IP Video Phone

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

Electronics manufacturing service (EMS) provider Sejin Electron will launch its new SVP-1200 and SVP 3200 IP Video Phones with Trinity Convergence’s (News - Alert) VeriCall Edge solution.

The South Korea-based Sejin delivers services including contract design manufacturing, components manufacturing, assembly services, design services and value-added services.

The VeriCall Edge software from Trinity Convergence, a provider of multimedia and IP communications software, will provide a complete embedded VoIP software solution for the handsets, covering signaling and media processing.

While Sejin focuses on working with OEMs to deliver its consumer electronics products, the company made the move to VeriCall Edge software in an effort to help redesign and deploy a high-quality H.264 video phone for its customers serving the enterprise market, according to said Sang-Young Lee, CEO of Sejin Electron, Inc.

"Sejin is focused on manufacturing excellence and the ability to rapidly and cost-effectively deliver cutting edge technologies to our OEM customers," said Sang-Young Lee. "Trinity Convergence has been instrumental in supporting this focus, with its VeriCall software helping to accelerate the delivery of our latest products. We have been very pleased with the performance of the VeriCall Edge platform and are receiving very positive customer feedback."

In addition, the embedded multimedia and IP communications solution enables feature-rich, two-way VoIP and videoconferencing functionality.

VeriCall Edge software is expected to provide Sejin with an interoperable solution that will help streamline product development and accelerates time-to-market.

"Our work with Sejin demonstrates the value that our VeriCall Edge software delivers to OEMs and ODMs developing high-performance multimedia and communications devices," said David Brown (News - Alert), CTO for Trinity Convergence.

As TMCnet reported last year, Trinity Convergence’s VeriCall Edge embedded VoIP software is used in a number of wireless handsets. Last May, xG Technology (News - Alert) Inc., a provider of low-power, long-range wireless communications technology, selected Trinity Convergence’s VeriCall Edge embedded VoIP software for it new xMax TX60 wireless handset.

"Much more than a comprehensive bundle of embedded software, our solutions also remove the unavoidable complexity and learning curve that come with integrating a variety of software components; conforming to industry standards and specifications; and conducting wide-scale interoperability testing with other products and networks," said Brown.

The Sejin SVP-1200 and SVP-3200 IP Video Phones target the Enterprise market and its growing demand for IP communications solutions.

The VeriCall Edge is licensed by number of the world's leading OEMs and ODMs.
