By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

Positron Telecommunication Systems, a major player in VoIP equipment for enterprise communication, have partnered with VoIPon Solutions, the worldwide business to business distributor of voice over IP hardware, to expand distribution of Positron's PCI Card and Gateway (News - Alert) products throughout Europe.

Under the partnership, VoIPon will provide greater access to the rapidly growing VoIP market with their large, well established reseller base.

Positron officials said the agreement is a key part of the company’s strategy to provide European resellers with a unique range of products that integrate VoIP and traditional telephony in stand-alone systems that combine ease of use with powerful functionality.

"VoIPon's excellent track record and strong online presence make them an important partner in the European market," stated Richard McGravie, president of Positron Telecom, in a statement.

McGravie said that the company has a reputation for providing high quality products that are backed up with great service, great support, and in-depth understanding.

Positron Telecommunication Systems Inc. develops and markets sophisticated VoIP equipment for enterprise communication and collaboration through communication service providers. The company's products integrate VoIP and traditional telephony in stand-alone systems that combine ease of use with powerful functionality.

Alexis Argent, sales manager for VoIPon, said that Positron provides a high quality range of robust, scalable telephony hardware and software that meets the growing demand for Asterisk and other VoIP solutions that are easy to configure and install.

“I'm confident that these products will prove to be extremely popular additions to our comprehensive portfolio," Argent said in a statement.

The Asterisk (News - Alert) and VoIP market is driven by the need for companies to cut operational costs whilst increasing the functionality of their telephony systems.

Positron said that it offers unique, cost effective standalone solutions that provide complete PBX (News - Alert) functionality by integrating Linux, Asterisk and Telephony ports on to a single PCI adapter. Easy to configure, it can be installed as an Ethernet adapter into virtually any operating system, without the need for additional drivers.
