Maryland-based VoIP application software provider BroadSoft (News - Alert), Inc. has reportedly been ranked No. 345 among the Technology Fast 500.  Technology Fast 500 is Deloitte LLP's prestigious ranking of the 500 companies demonstrating highest percentage of fiscal year revenue growth during the five-year period from 2004-2008. BroadSoft recorded 356 percent growth in fiscal year revenue during this period. Companies considered for the ranking belong to the technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology sectors in North America.

“BroadSoft's growth reflects the rapid adoption of IP-based communications services by enterprises and consumers around the world, as well as our dedication to building solutions that can be easily personalized to meet the needs of today's market,” Michael Tessler, president and CEO of BroadSoft, said. “We are honored to be recognized for a third consecutive year, and I credit the talent and dedication of the BroadSoft employees to delivering exceptional solutions and superior service to our customers for this achievement.”

“Technology Fast 500 recognizes innovative companies that have broken down barriers to success and defied the odds with their remarkable five-year revenue growth,” Phil Asmundson, vice chairman and U.S. Technology, Media and Telecommunications leader, Deloitte (News - Alert) LLP, said.

This was a good year for BroadSoft. The company also found a place among the top 50 percent of America's fastest growing private companies this year, ranked by Inc. Magazine -- the Inc. 5,000.

BroadSoft specializes in developing VoIP application software that enables the delivery of hosted telephony and multimedia services. In 2008, the company acquired Sylantro and the GENBAND (News - Alert) M6 product line. BroadSoft provides VoIP applications to nine of the top 10 and 15 of the top 25 largest carriers worldwide including KPN, Korea Telecom, Qwest, SingTel, Sprint, Swisscom (News - Alert), Telefonica de Espana, Telstra, T-Systems, and Verizon. Earlier this year, Ensim and BroadSoft jointly demonstrated a new unified communications system.
