By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor
Israel-based Outsmart, a provider of convergence solutions for telecom operators, is reportedly using Global IP Solutions’ VideoEngine inside its Plug 'n Talk softphone. The deployment will enable the operator to deliver reliable high-quality voice and video to its customers.
Telecom operators deploy Outsmart's Plug 'n Talk solution to offer their subscribers via a preloaded USB memory stick.
Global IP Solutions (News - Alert) noted Smart Communications, a major wireless operator in Philippines, is already offering the Plug 'n Talk solution to customers. This unique tool allows a large number of Filipinos working abroad to call any Philippine landline or mobile phone at local tariffs. But the quality of the service is not compromised and users enjoy quality services at affordable prices.
In a release, Jacob Bros, CEO of Outsmart, expressed the company’s confidence in Global IP Solutions -- which has set the standard for voice and video quality over the last decade. The operator is all set to offer telecom operators worldwide the best communication platform with GIPS technology as the basis of their voice quality.
"Outsmart offers a superior solution that transforms any computer with Internet access into a mobile phone. They deliver a simple device that brings added-value for customers and cumulative revenue opportunities and customer loyalty for telecom operators,” said GIPS' Chief Executive Officer Emerick Woods in the release. “With GIPS providing the underlying voice and video technology, Outsmart is guaranteed to offer the best quality attainable.”
