Qwest VoIP Solution Chosen by Aurora Chamber of Commerce

All over the world, companies are opting for unified communications solutions that provide increased cost savings and enhanced ease of use.
Recently, the Aurora Chamber of Commerce upgraded its office to an integrated voice and data platform with a unified communications solution designed and implemented by Qwest Communications and ShoreTel. Qwest (News - Alert) will make use of its Qwest iQ Integrated Access service in the agreement.
Qwest iQ Integrated Access service makes use of T1 internet connection in a single network. It provides benefits such as business class VoIP technology, easy integration with the existing telecommunications systems, and increased productivity at an affordable cost.
The iQ Integrated Access brings voice and data together in a single solution that delivers increased performance at a lower total cost of ownership with the help of business-class IP technology. Qwest’s iQ solution makes use of an advanced voice and messaging system designed by ShoreTel (News - Alert).
“Integrating voice and data on a single platform enables small and large business alike to balance the need for best-in-class technology and its cost,” said Chris Ancell, executive vice president, Qwest Business Markets Group. “VoIP enables businesses like the Aurora Chamber of Commerce to be more productive. Most importantly, integrated voice and data helps them deliver better service to their members.”
For account management, performance monitoring and network configuration purpose, the CoC is using the Qwest QControl management Web portal.
Apart from the IP-enabled voice solution, Qwest also is providing Internet access, giving the chamber the capability to utilize its WiFi (News - Alert). According to Qwest, this agreement has provided a substantial monthly savings for the Chamber over its prior solution.
Recently, the company was named the market leader for Ethernet services by research-advisory firm Nemertes Research in its recently announced 2009 PilotHouse Awards. Nemertes Research has a proven track record in analyzing and quantifying business value of emerging technologies.
