Motorola Enhances MOTOTRBO Professional Digital Two-way Radio System
By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor
Motorola has enhanced its MOTOTRBO professional digital two-way radio system.
MOTOTRBO is Motorola’s (News - Alert) first digital two-way radio system specifically designed to meet the requirements of professional organizations that need a customizable, business-critical communication solution using licensed spectrum. In addition, MOTOTRBO is built to the globally recognized Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) standard so with MOTOTRBO, users can be assured that they are getting a robust and future-ready digital radio solution.
Motorola has now announced transmit interrupt suite, 800/900 MHz portables and mobiles and new base stations/repeaters for the system to help users achieve new levels of efficiency and worker safety.
MOTOTRBO with the transmit interrupt suite can be used to interrupt conversations during an emergency or to deliver business-critical communications exactly when and where it's needed via the voice interrupt, remote voice dekey and emergency voice interrupt features. Public works agencies, utilities, private security and manufacturing sectors that have been using MOTOTRBO will be bigger beneficiaries as they will be able to increase employee safety and efficiency.
In a release, Paul Cizek, Motorola director of North America professional/commercial radios said that they are a company of firsts with a rich heritage of continuous innovation and they are continuing this innovation with the MOTOTRBO system by offering industry-first features for professional digital radios with the Transmit Interrupt Suite and 800/900 MHz frequency band capabilities.
The company has stated that the new UHF 100-watt MTR3000 base station/repeater delivers high-power capability, which helps to improve coverage for users such as schools, public works, and transportation companies operating across a wide area or within large building structures including hospitals, shopping malls or casinos.
One of Motorola’s clients has acknowledged that with MOTOTRBO system with a MTR3000 repeater, they were able to easily migrate existing users to the advantages of digital technology at a significantly lower cost than if they had to do a complete replacement of their existing equipment.
