Sansay (News - Alert) Inc., provider of VoIP session control solutions to service providers worldwide, is set to join the Level 3 Technology Alliance Program (TAP), a group uniting VoIP industry leaders to provide interoperability and optimize high-value services for Level 3 customers. After joining TAP, Sansay's VSX and SPX VoIP session controllers will be fully interoperable with Level 3's network and alliance members.

Level 3's TAP enables creation of integrated solutions on the Level 3 network, concentrating on interoperability testing to help customers achieve high-performance VoIP implementations. Sansay session controllers offer industry-leading routing and security capabilities that optimize use of VoIP facilities in a variety of access and peering applications including wholesale, retail, pre-paid, hosted and E911 services.

"Level 3 has always led the VoIP industry in leveraging the most advanced solutions and in realizing the importance of bringing best-of-breed technologies together and working through the interoperability issues," said Sansay CEO Andy Voss in a press release. "The Technology Alliance Program not only benefits members but mutual customers looking to migrate to and profit from differentiated VoIP services."

Sansay's VSX and SPX session controllers secure service provider networks and hide network topography while facilitating SLAs and preventing denial of service (DoS) attacks. Sansay solutions do away with the need for costly TDM switches and facilitate completion of calls using all-IP routes cost-effectively.

"As VoIP evolves, session control is emerging as an important and versatile component of the network infrastructure," said Craig Schlagbaum, vice president of National Partner Sales and Programs for Level 3. "Sansay solutions are helping providers worldwide address some of the industry's greatest performance and profitability challenges like least-cost routing and network security. We are pleased to include them in the TAP and believe their efforts will benefit customers, vendors and other key participants in the VoIP value chain."

With Sansay joining Technology Alliance Program, organizations using Sansay session controllers can securely interconnect with Level 3 to leverage its voice services.

Sansay Inc. develops VoIP infrastructure systems for service providers worldwide. The company's VoIP session controllers for inter-carrier/peering and subscriber access applications deliver superior performance, features, stability and scalability, helping service providers enhance quality, reduce costs and meet regulatory requirements while gaining control over a wide range of VoIP applications.
