Clearwire Corporation, the leading provider of wireless high-speed Internet services, has started providing VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone service in Texas. Existing customers from Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland-Odessa, Waco, and Wichita Falls will now be able to subscribe for this Internet phone service.

 

Keith Kay, regional general manager at Clearwire (Texas), stated, “We’re excited to introduce an affordable, easy-to-install voice option that, bundled with our wireless high-speed Internet service, provides customers dependable Internet and high-quality phone service.”

 

“What differentiates Clearwire from other VoIP providers is that our service operates across our existing wireless network, which enables us to offer dependable, high-quality voice communications,” Kay added.

 

The company’s Internet phone service is packed with several value-added features, such as, facility to make unlimited local and long-distance calls within the U.S. and Canada, availability of a local phone number (a feature missing in most VoIP offerings), competitive international calling rates, call forwarding, advanced call forwarding, caller ID, voice mail, voice mail to e-mail, three-way calling, call screening, and international call blocking.

 

Clearwire will provide a Web dashboard along with this service, enabling customers to efficiently access and manage the features of Internet phone service. This dashboard can be easily downloaded using the Internet and will add value to the company’s existing service offering.

 

Currently, Clearwire provides its Internet and voice services to customers, who have access to VoIP 911/E911 services. This service will now be sold by company’s retail stores and other authorized retailers in Texas.
