Coyote Point Systems Launches New Virtual Application Delivery Controller

Coyote Point Systems, provider of application acceleration and load balancing solutions for the small-to-medium size enterprise, has released Equalizer OnDemand, a full-featured, virtual Application Delivery Controller (ADC (News - Alert)).

Equalizer OnDemand can be launched on a virtual infrastructure running VMware, and is capable of providing server load balancing and content routing among multiple, diverse physical and virtual servers.

Managed hosting providers can now use Equalizer OnDemand to support multiple customers, or on a per-customer, per application basis. This facilitates flexible deployment options and additional capabilities to support new revenue generating opportunities for application delivery services for service providers. Using Coyote Point’s Virtual ADC, service providers can “pay as they grow” by simply adding Equalizer OnDemand licenses. This can lead to a reduction in cost, without sacrificing performance.

He explained that Cloud Providers and Hosting companies need flexible, virtualized solutions to support very real application delivery challenges and Equalizer OnDemand can effectively meet those needs.

Equalizer OnDemand enables network enables multiple virtual Equalizer ADCs within their virtual infrastructure (Cloud) to optimize and scale virtual server resources according to real-time traffic demands, and scales similarly to an Equalizer appliance with equal throughput capacity.
