Moldflow and HASCO Sign North American Distribution Agreement
WAYLAND, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- April 15, 2004 -- Moldflow Corporation (NASDAQ: MFLO), the world leader in software and enabling hardware solutions for optimizing the design and manufacture of plastic products, today announced it has established a distribution agreement with HASCO America, Inc., one of the largest suppliers of standard products for the moldmaking, molding, tool and jig making industries. According to the agreement, HASCO will expand its product offerings to include Moldflow's Altanium(R) hot runner process control system and will distribute these systems through their North American sales force.
Altanium, originally introduced by American MSI Corporation which was acquired by Moldflow Corporation in January 2004, is the next generation hot runner process control system that breaks new ground as the industry's first and only modular, small footprint solution that supports up to 384 mold control zones. We chose the Altanium product because through its use of cutting edge technology it has consistently been the industry's top, innovative temperature control system. Additionally, Moldflow's strong commitment to product quality and customer service appealed to us. With Moldflow as our partner in North America, we can provide our customers the optimum system solution for their hot runner application," said Jill Zachary, director of North American sales and marketing for HASCO.
