Dublin: Research and Markets
(http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c84574) has announced the
addition of "TelstraClear Limited" to their offering
TelstraClear is New Zealand's second largest full service
telecommunications company, providing products and services to the
business, government, wholesale and residential sectors. The company is
a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telstra, the largest telco in Australia.
TelstraClear provides a full range of voice, data, broadband Internet,
mobile, managed services and digital cable TV products and services to
the New Zealand market. It also offers triple play services over cable
networks in Wellington and Christchurch. TelstraClear believes that it
is well placed nationally because of its fibre assets which will allow
the company to extend its network as a backbone to sell voice data,
broadband and other types of bundles of products and services. In April
2007 TelstraClear pulled out of its 3G cellular pilot wireless network
in Tauranga, announcing a nationwide mobile service in August following
an agreement with Telecom. In mid-2007 TelstraClear revealed plans to
expand and wholesale its triple-play cable network. In January 2008
TelstraClear completed the fibre laying component on its $29 million
new generation fibre network in the South Island.
