MDA awarded contract for continued support of Canada's contribution to the International Space Station

RICHMOND, BC, May 9 /CNW/ - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has received a $103 (CAD) million contract from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to continue providing support and enhancements of the Mobile Servicing System (MSS) through 2012.
The MSS is a sophisticated information solution critical to the continued maintenance and servicing of the International Space Station. The MSS includes Canadarm2, the Mobile Base System, and most recently 'Dextre' - a highly evolved two-armed robot also known as the Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator.
