At the recent ITEXPO West 2011 conference in Austin, Texas, TMCnet Editor Chris DiMarco had an opportunity to visit RealLinx’s (News - Alert) booth and talk to President and CEO Gabriel Diaz (News - Alert) about the hosted VoIP company’s newest products.
Before starting to describe RealLinx’s key products being shown at ITEXPO, Diaz first thanked the organizers for the excellent response seen at the show for its data, voice and video products. “This is our first year at the show, and we are very happy with the performance,” asserted Diaz.
Initially, Diaz highlighted two core products of his company, the managed hosted voice over IP (VoIP) platformVoiceLinx for SMBs and the totally managed security platform SecurityLinx. The hosted VoiceLinx offers attractive pricing for SMBs, and the security platform integrates multi-threat management and provides Internet protection against viruses, malwares, phishing, intrusion attacks, and spam, Diaz explained.
In addition, Diaz discussed the company’s broadband connectivity solution in partnership with the large T1 carriers. “We monitor and provide full support, including maintenance,” he said.
ITEXPO (News - Alert) West honored Reallinx’s VoiceLinx video conferencing service as the best on-site product launch. The VoiceLinx video conferencing service is based on Vidtel's hosted MeetMe video conferencing service. Vidtel (News - Alert) is an innovative cloud-based service provider with an any-to-any video conferencing solution.
When asked about the award given to RealLinx’s fully hosted video bridging product, Diaz said bridging equipment has been a barrier for SMBs to get into video conferencing arena because it is expensive and hard to maintain. “We have that equipment in the cloud,” stated Diaz. “The customer only buys a phone that directly ties with our switch.”
Continuing, he described a perfect scenario to use the new product, using a conference room as an example. Once a user dials into that conference room, the user automatically gets video. “Up to 10 people can get connected at any time,” noted Diaz. “The video automatically recognizes the source of sound,” continued Diaz.
"Finally video conferencing is becoming more affordable to SMBs and we are aligning our services with Vidtel to address this fast-growing market need," stated Diaz.
