Stop Losing Employee Time to Facebook, YouTube with RealLinx's SecurityLinx

Hosted VoIP company RealLinx (News - Alert) offers services at a “low monthly price with our fully-managed SecurityLinx” product, promising that “your company will see ROI in the first month of deployment or we will gladly refund your money.
The No. 1 feature of the product, at least as far as attractiveness goes, is that it promises to stop lost employee productivity to Facebook (News - Alert), Myspace, YouTube and other such sites.
It’s called “Work Internet Abuse,” company officials say, adding that it “is robbing your company of valuable time and money. An average of 25 to 30 percent of each employee's workday is spent surfing things that have nothing to do with work... When employees do not have the option to play, they work.”
The service also provides security against intrusions that constantly plague businesses --like viruses, malware, phishing, intrusion attacks, and spam -- by inspecting every packet of the data stream and shutting down the threats instantly.
In addition, SecurityLinx kills bandwidth leaks to streaming audio, video and the like -- as company officials say, “a single user can saturate a data connection with file downloads, uploads, or with streaming audio or video.”
And it bills itself as a way to lower HR liabilities by blocking adult content, racism and hate sites, “and other forbidden content that simply has no place in the workplace.”
More prosaically, it keeps records of e-mails, instant messages and URLs visited, establishes VPN connections so you can connect your office branches privately and allows telecommuters to connect from home to your private network, and delivers redundancy. “Load balance or fail-over for your Internet and VPN connections is critical. SecurityLinx can talk to two or more Internet services and helps you win the battle for 100 percent uptime.”
